Balranald Shire Flood Works

The Murray Darling Floods during the Summer of 2022/23 were the worst on record since 1956. Thousands of hectares of agricultural lands, livestock and homes were lost during this event. In an effort to ensure the protection of local assets in the Balranald area, the Balranald Shire Council engaged Potter Excavations to extend current levee banks around the town, providing additional protection against the floods. Potters also worked with the local council to open back up roads and remediate damage caused by the floods to ensure local farmers had safe access to their properties.

Emergency construction of 3km of Levee bank to protect local residents, livestock and assets amid record floodwater levels.

Potters Team worked around the clock to protect the town.
